Sabotaged…Done

Yesterday, an associate and I were talking about marriage. He and his wife have been married 20+ years, and he adores his wife. So I wanted some insight into the makings of a healthy marriage. He asked me, “C, what is it that you’re looking for?” My answer didn’t require any thought: “A woman that respects me, herself and our relationship,” I quickly replied. Then laughing (not haha funny), I said, “I got some phuckin’ nerve! I had all that and didn’t appreciate it.”

My acknowledgment during that conversation reinforced my belief that I have sabotaged my future happiness. I know that there a tons of good women, but I’m not willing to gamble with my feelings, again. I made a fool of a woman that didn’t deserve it, and have been made a fool of(deserving?🤷🏽‍♂️) by women. DONE!
